The department of emergency medicine at government medical college Omandurar , under the Directorate of medical education and research , Tamil nadu and the Health and family welfare department , Tamilnadu is a distinguished center of excellence . we are dedicated in delivering advanced medical care for a wide range of emergencies . Our department is committed at enhancing patient outcomes with timely care and disposition of patients .In emergency medicine the true test of expertise lies not only in rapid diagnosis but also in the ability to make critical decisions under immense pressure , where every second counts , ultimately aiming to stabilize the patient and prevent further complications .Incorporation of Tamilnadu accident and emergency care initiative (TAEI) since 2017 under the Department of health and family welfare aims to reduce the mortality and morbidity in trauma and other emergencies. It plays a key role in quality management. It mainly focuses on its six pillars .
